DeployKit

Devtools

A local dashboard for watching deploys.

@deploykit/devtools serves a page on localhost showing each deploy's events and timings live.

Install @deploykit/devtools@alpha alongside its dependencies using the installation guide.

scripts/publish-local.ts
import { Effect } from "effect"
import * as Devtools from "@deploykit/devtools"

const program = Effect.scoped(
  Effect.gen(function* () {
    const devtools = yield* Devtools.make()
    console.log("Open", devtools.url)

    const result = yield* devtools.track(publish, { label: "Publish preview" })
    yield* devtools.flush
    return result
  })
)
  • The server runs while the scope is open, and stops when it closes.
  • It keeps the last 20 runs and the latest 500 events of each.
  • Devtools.make({ onEvent }) also forwards every event, for example to your logs.
  • Devtools.makeCollector() gives the same track without the web server.

track only watches. It doesn't poll, retry or activate anything, so wrap your whole publish flow if you want those steps to show up.

To try it with simulated deploys, run bun run devtools in the deploykit repo.
